Programs

Fresh impetus in the educational Method.

It is our conviction that the educational system cannot follow the footprints of the traditional epistemological school that functions piecemeal and considers knowledge as a passive activity. For this reason, in monitoring closely the developments of the new teaching methodology and the new detailed program, we have advanced in the application of the Inter-Thematic integrated framework of programs (project - Work Plans).

In this program, the educator is given the possibility to organize together with the participation and help of children a project, “penetrating '' all the cognitive subject-matters: Language, Mathematics, Study of the Environment, (anthropogenic - natural environment), expression and creation, (Arts, Drama classes, Physical Education, Music etc). Each of the aforementioned cognitive subjects is unique and has its own objectives, but at the same time they complement each other, paving the way for new creative paths.

PHASES OF THE EDUCATIONAL METHOD

PHASE A: Onrush - Subject Definition.
PHASE B: Carrying out of activities.
PHASE C: Evaluation - Presentation.

A project seeks to:
* Provide the possibility for children to: develop on all sides (intellectually, linguistically, socially, emotionally, sensory)
* Acquire new knowledge and abilities
* Develop their imagination and creativity
* Learn to make choices with regard to what, when, and with who they will deal, so as to learn to function autonomously, and to undertake responsibilities
* Become self-confident
* Feel satisfaction for their contribution in a common project.
* Give the chance to parents and the broader social environment to become involved in the learning process.
* Redefine the role of the educator.
